Periodontal Hygiene

In addition to preventive hygiene services, in treating periodontal disease otherwise known as GUM DISEASE. In gum disease you are loosing the bone that supports the tooth in the socket and in time the tooth becomes more loose and may eventually fall out. In treating ‘periodontal pockets’ you have lost the attachment between the gums and the tooth and bacteria species are involved that one could say ‘eat away at the bone’. Therefore, treatment for your gum disease may involve:

  • Holistic Health Assessment
  • Microbiological testing
  • Homeopathic remedies as required
  • Ozonated gas and irrigation into pocket areas as required
  • Nasal insufflation and/or Ear insufflation as required
  • Laser Assisted Periodontal therapy
  • Ozonated oils
  • Vitamin supplement recommendations; Amino Nac and a good Probiotic are highly recommended!
  • Referral to Naturopathic physician and Periodontist as required
  • 3 month hygiene re-care until disease is in remission
